Human Resources Practitioner
To your organization, I bring an eclectic background that spans Human Resources, leadership, consulting, and education.
As a peak performance strategist, I manage a successful practice providing leadership on enhancing employee engagement, managing multi-generational collaborations, talent management for the future, leadership development, strategic planning, managing employee performance, and championing initiatives to foster innovation and creativity in the workplace. My client base extends throughout Canada, U.S., and South America in manufacturing, government, finance, telecommunications, health care, charity foundations, advocacy organizations, hospitality, tourism, and post secondary education.
I held Human Resources positions in the private and public sectors advising on human resources issues, and supporting leaders in strengthening organizational capacity in areas such as strategic planning and overall management of employee engagement initiatives; organizational change and sustainability; developing succession planning initiatives; and labour relations, including bargaining. As well, I have been an educator in the college and university sectors serving as intellectual lead for the design, delivery, and evaluation of courses in Human Resources, Leadership, Adult Education, and Organizational Behaviour delivered face-to-face and online.
My published work includes mentoring and leadership development for Generation Y; developing and sustaining high performance teams; ROI from learning and development initiatives; and leadership models for transitioning teams to interdependence. My textbook on Human Resources Management was published in 2010 and I’m currently working on my next book on bridging multi-generational differences.
